About 3 weeks ago I received a sample of the KORRES Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Eye Primer for trial and review. I was super excited!
We all know that in order to keep our eyeshadow on all day without creasing and fading, we need to prime our eyelids. This product however, offered more than just keeping our eye makeup in place all day/night. It also claims to work as a corrector and anti-aging product for the eye.
It’s jam-packed with antioxidants like Quercetin, Oak and Sunflower extracts as well as vitamin E. These natural ingredients are supposed to help with smoothing fine lines and improving the skins elasticity. Since I have no problems in that area, I cannot attest to these claims.
I have dry skin, but oily lids. This product worked great for mattifying my lids prior to makeup application. But at the same time, my lids felt too dry throughout the day. I rotated using this with and without another eyeshadow base but I still had the weird dry feeling on my eyes. :-(
My eyeshadow began creasing after a couple of hours. It was not fun having to retouch my makeup while on the go. I think short term is ok for example; recording a YouTube video. But if you plan on wearing your makeup past lunch break, then this is not for you.
Disclaimer: I have received the sample product with compliments from BeautyStat. This review is my own objective opinion.
